Provide Tier I and Tier II support for users of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related systems (Newstar Enterprise, Newstar Sales, Design Studio Manager, Newstar Web, Build Pro). Identify, troubleshoot and resolve application, security and business process errors and problems. Document service requests, issues and resolutions in IT ticketing system. Identify incident trends and recommend preventative solutions Collaborate with business process owners, end-users, and IT to identify areas of opportunities to leverage ERP and related systems to drive efficiencies, understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, and translate these needs to functional systems requirement documents and design specifications. Work directly with end-users to obtain requirements and translate the information into functional requirements documents for development towards technical requirements documents. Train end-users in ERP use via one-on-one, web-based and classroom training. Establish best practices of system use and develop training material. Analyze and document system enhancement requests and system issues. Diagnose and research issues prior to involving technical resources or systems vendor. Act as liaison between system users and technical staff, using a broad knowledge of user requirements, application design, and practices. Develop test plans, perform system testing and co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades or new systems.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, electrical engineering or related field, 36 months of software application support experience within IT environment, and 12 months of business analyst experience. Also requires: proven experience in dealing with business customers, collecting requirements, and documenting requirements; strong knowledge of Excel and the entire Microsoft Office Suite; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong understanding of home building industry and processes; strong knowledge of ERP systems; working knowledge of Build Pro scheduling software; strong analytical and problem solving skills; and effective team player.
