We’re hiring owner-operators to transport shipments of high-value products. We do not handle household goods or hazmat in these divisions.

Our Dedicated LTL Fleet operates a fixed weekly route in and out of St. Louis, Mo. Driver responsibilities will include: completing the required paperwork, pad wrapping (when needed), strapping and securing cargo in place. 2007 Fleet Average: 2,300 miles per week / $1.50 per mile Ask about our pay increases for 2008 Ask about our Dedicated Team Routes between St. Louis, Mo. and the West Coast.

Operators in this fleet haul high-value products such as: electronic equipment, trade shows, displays, medical equipment, store fixtures, and other products that require our specialized service. No experience in this type of hauling? No problem! Owner-operators receive free orientation at our World Headquarters in Fenton, Mo.

Owner-Operator Qualifications

• Owner-operator minimum age, 22
• One year verifiable OTR tractor-trailer driving experience, with a Class A CDL.
• Accidents: No more than one in the past 12 months or two in the past 36 months.
• Moving Violations: No more than two in the past 12 months or four in the past 36 months.
• DUI or DWI Violations: None in the past 36 months, no more than one in a lifetime.
• Felony or Misdemeanor Convictions: No more than one in the past 36 months or two in a lifetime.
• Pass all company and DOT requirements, including physical, drug screening and background investigation.
• Stable employment history.
• Be well groomed, with a professional appearance, and be comfortable wearing a uniform whenever providing services to our agents and customers or while visiting World Headquarters. It is a company policy that our customers, agents and staff have come to expect.
• Currently own or purchase a cell phone compatible with our VanStar Communications Technology platform. (Contact your recruiter for a list of approved devices)
• Tractor to be identified to company specifications (this includes a door decal and unit numbers). Provided at no cost to the owner-operator.
• Tractor must be painted white within 12 months. Mayflower Transit will provide a $2500.00 allowance toward authorized repainting.
• Attend our free Operator Orientation at World Headquarters in Fenton, Mo. Hotel accommodations are provided at no cost.
• Demonstrate an understanding of our paperwork, policies and procedures that are provided and reviewed during orientation.
