Alabama Freight, Inc. is a proud member of the American Trucking Association and the Alabama Trucking Association. They provide services of transportation, transloading, and heavy haul services to the iron and steel industry.  With headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, the company offers services all throughout the Southeast: Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Northern Florida.

Heavy hauling is the most specialized of all Alabama Freight Services. Company moves lengths, heights, and weights in excess of 150 feet, 17 feet high and 150,000 pounds respectively.
Quotes for these moves are contract only and still have the same geographic restrictions as normal moves for the company.

Interstate/Intrastate Cartage include same day service, pickup and delivery of iron and steel articles in the states boundaries of Alabama, Northern Florida, Georgia, Tennessee & Mississippi. All shipments are full truck load and detention charges apply in excess of 2 hours loading and unloading.  Charges are calculated by hundred weight and a 44,000 pound minimum applies.  Shipments must not exceed $50,000 in value.  Penalty rates and charges apply to overdimensional loads.  Charges for Alabama freight are usually less than what most other companies minimum charge, which are typically between $400 and $500.

J-Van Freight and Cargo Services (est.1996) is a subsidiary of Alabama Freight, Inc. It provides full-service transloading specifically for rail to truck / truck to rail steel product transfer.

The Loadmaster TM Dispatch System allows dispatchers to better utilize their time doing what they need to - moving tractors and freight - instead of paperwork. The Loadmaster TM Dispatch System provides the most current equipment locations and loads allowing for better routing and planning. The system is designed for speed; usual dispatch operations require a minimum of keystrokes, important to a dispatcher on the phone. This technology allows a prompt, convenient and friendly service to customers! And for the company it’s an efficient and effective dispatch! So it’s a win-win situation!

THE JOB PROSPECT!
Owner/Operators:
68.5 % of the Gross Pay for the load (68.5% of 100%)
Additional 10% of the Gross for trailer rent if the Owner/Operator has his or her own trailer
Company trailer available at no charge to the lease operator
Weekly settlements
Weekend work optional

Starting salary is $625.00 per week plus .05 per mile
